Morgan County records indicate that the house which is known as Heritage Trail Bed and Breakfast was built in 1897 by Wesley and Alice Slonaker and valued at $250. The house served the residents of Paw Paw and surrounding areas as the "Doctors' Office," being home to several county physicians. However since the 1930s it has been continuously utilized for travelers and boarders, and in most recent years as an elder care home. We welcome you to enjoy the historic beauty of the area; and may your visit with us be a pleasurable one. We hope you will recommend us and come back again and again!

Guest accommodations on the second floor are offered with a shared bath and shower facility; central air conditioning and a comfortable TV room; complete with a view of everyday life in a small town; and surrounding mountain ridges.
	~ The Beds ~ The Veranda Room: Bright and spacious with a southwest view, it has a queen size poster bed and Victorian accents. The Ridge Room: Faces east and is ideal for the early bird; furnished with a queen size poster bed and Victorian motif. The Tex Ritter: Accommodations for one; beautiful Victorian accents throughout, with mountain views...and yes, Tex Ritter stayed here while on tour.
~ The Breakfast ~ Breakfast is served next door in the dining room of Grandma's Country Kitchen & Inn (our sister Inn).
